The History major at Lenoir-Rhyne is intensive and engaging, combining breadth of knowledge with rigorous critical analysis of the cultural, social, and economic dimensions of past experience. The major is global in coverage (including courses in Asian, African, Latin American, European and global history) as well as critical in its orientation (including courses on the philosophy & practice of history), and is designed around small classes, close reading, and discussion. The History major earns a B.A. degree.
